1. Masters in social work, Management, Rural Management, Development, Public Administration, or Community Development or an equivalent course from - Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Azim Premji University, Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Indian Institutes of Management \ (IIM), Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) or Institutes of similar repute
2. Minimum two years of experience in working with the SHG network after completion of post-graduation as of September 1st, 2023
3. Understanding of SRLMs and NRLM is
4. Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English
5. Willingness to travel for work.
6. Good interpersonal skills and strong documentation skills
7. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
8. The candidate should be willing to work in any of the NRO partner states/UT

Terms of appointment

The appointment to all the above positions shall be on an annual contract basis. The contract may be renewed, subject to review of performance of the incumbent and continuation of the NRO Project. Consolidated monthly remuneration fixed according to the pay details as approved will be paid.

Brief Description of responsibilities

The Accountant of the NRO will be responsible for all accounting and cash-related responsibilities

in the NRO Secretariat. Specific responsibilities include managing the tasks listed below.

• Maintenance of cash book, bank book, cheque books, vouchers and computerised

accounting

• Payment of rent for buildings, payment of salaries and wages, staff deductions related to

rent, telephone bill, advances etc., deduction and depositing of TDS, various legal and

statutory compliances

• Payment of travel advances to staff, scrutiny and passing of settlement claims, scrutiny and

passing of TA-DA claims, settlement of advances

• Payment of advances of Mentor Resource Persons to other States, scrutiny and passing of

Eligibility Criteria

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (with at least 60% marks in aggregate)

Work Experience

• 5 years’ in the Accounts/Admin department of any reputed organisation (Out of which at least 1 year should be in a Chartered Accountants’ firm.)
• Experience in accounting with Government projects will be an added advantage.

Computer skills

• Working knowledge in Tally software is compulsory.
• Should have basic office documentation skills.

Languages

• Fluency in English language (both oral and written) is compulsory.
• Those with proficiency in Hindi language will be given preference.
