Chhattisgarh Exposure Visit


Exposure Visits play a crucial role in fostering cross-learning across states by providing an opportunity to directly observe innovative approaches, best practices, and successful models that can be replicated in other states. With this objective in mind, an Exposure Visit was organised for a delegation from Chhattisgarh to Kerala from 23rd to 25th of April, 2026. The delegation from Chhattisgarh included Smt. Bhuarya, PE – SMIB. The three-day visit was designed to help them understand the evolution of Kudumbashree as an innovative model for poverty eradication and women’s empowerment through interactions with Smt. Tinku Biswal, IAS, Principal Secretary, Government of Kerala; Shri Prasanth MP, COO, Kudumbashree NRO; Smt. Priya Paul, Programme Manager, PRI-CBO Convergence, who shared Kerala’s journey of decentralised governance and Panchayati Raj. The delegation also visited Kottukal and Magalapuram Gram Panchayats, where they interacted with Panchayat representatives, CDS members, Haritha Karma Sena, BUDS School teachers, children and Kerala Chicken employees. Through these interactions, the team gained insights into community mobilisation, enterprise promotion, institutional convergence, and focused on how such models can be contextualised and strengthened to improve local governance in Chhattisgarh....
