In the first quarter of the financial year 2025–26, Kudumbashree National Resource Organisation (NRO) took a significant step towards expanding its thematic interventions, with the launch of its new vertical—Food, Nutrition, Health, and WASH (FNHW)—
Marking the commencement of this initiative, NRO signed its first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the FNHW domain with the Union Territory of Lakshadweep on 15th May 2025. The agreement was formalised by Sri H. Dineshan IAS, Executive Director, Kudumbashree, in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Ali, Program Officer, Lakshadweep Rural Livelihood Mission (LRLM).
On the occasion of signing, Program Manager, Priya Paul; Manager – Finance and Administration, Mineesh Abraham; Assistant Program Manager, Simi Susan Moncy; and Thematic Anchor, Alby Wilson, represented Kudumbashree NRO.
The FNHW intervention model draws inspiration from the successful models under Kudumbashree in Kerala. With a focus on grassroots health and nutrition practices, the vertical aims to foster sustainable development through community-led approaches. The domain is hoping to expand its work to different SRLMs in this Financial Year.
