Building Entrepreneurial Capacities in Rajasthan Through Food Service Cluster Initiative

Capacity building and strategic training are key to the success of community-led enterprises and the promotion of women entrepreneurship. Therefore, Kudumbashree National Resource Organisation places equal emphasis on strengthening the capacity of Community-Based Organisations for the success of community-led projects.
In line with this approach, under the DAY-NRLM Food Service Cluster initiative in Rajasthan, we successfully conducted the Community-Based Organization (CBO) Orientation and Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training across the districts of Hanumangarh, Sri Ganganagar, Churu, Jaipur, and Sawai Madhopur in February and March 2025.
The training sessions were facilitated by the Kudumbashree NRO Cafe Mentor team, with invaluable support from the respective DPMUs. Kudumbashree NRO serves as the Technical Support Agency (TSA) for the DAY-NRLM Food Service Cluster initiative in Rajasthan, driving the promotion of sustainable, community-led food service enterprises across the state.
A total of 90 participants, including aspiring entrepreneurs and CBO representatives, took part in the training held across five districts. The sessions focused on strengthening entrepreneurial skills, enhancing enterprise management capabilities, and ensuring active community involvement in project implementation.
The training also aimed to help participants identify promising business ideas within the food service domain, while providing them with practical tools to effectively manage and scale their food service enterprises.
We look forward to seeing these entrepreneurs thrive and contribute to the growth of sustainable, community-led food service enterprises in Rajasthan.
