The internship with Kudumbashree offers a unique opportunity for students—especially those who have completed their postgraduate studies—to gain valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom. It provides hands-on exposure to a range of socio-economic development and women's empowerment initiatives implemented by Kudumbashree across Kerala. Through immersion in rural settings and Panchayats, interactions with PRI and CBO representatives, and observation of various convergence and livelihood initiatives, students are able to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application.

Internships are typically offered to students from premier institutions and are supported by experienced professionals who guide them throughout the practicum. The program requires a minimum duration of 30 days to ensure meaningful field engagement. At the end of the internship, students are expected to present their reflections and key learnings, contributing to a deeper understanding of grassroots governance and community development.
