National Rural Economic Transformation Project’ (NRETP) under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) was introduced to promote entrepreneurship and support growth-oriented enterprises.
Majority of the enterprises supported under various livelihood activities are nano enterprises (turnover of up to Rs 6 lakh per annum). As the enterprises scale-up, the support services required in the growth phase are different from those in the initial phases of the enterprise, to address the challenges and requirements of rural enterprises under SHG network, One-Stop Facility (OSF) centre is set up at the sub-district level to provide professional business development services to nano-enterprises on a growth track.
In October 2022, NRLM introduced the One Stop Facility (OSF) as a component under the Start -up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) sub-scheme of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojna- National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) with this all the NRETP blocks were converted into NRLM OSF.
At a Glance:
OSF is a business facilitation cum incubation centres at the sub-district level to provide business development services to existing nano-enterprises on the growth track. Entrepreneurs get technical support from the OSF in the district. OSF provides technical support like Business ideation, Business plan preparation, Handholding support to initiate and growth business, Training, Market support and overall Mentoring support through 5-7 BDSPs placed in a block. BDSP are trained cadres and well equipped to provide all kinds of support to entrepreneurs.
Major Objectives:
OSF is envisaged as a business facilitation-cum-incubation centres at the sub-district level to provide business development services to existing nano-enterprises on a growth track. It will also support a few new enterprises that have the potential to grow. Each OSF will support a minimum of three and maximum of five blocks. One district may support a maximum of two OSFs.

Assam State Rural Livelihood Mison (ASRLM) entered into partnership with Kudumbashree NRO on 25th Aug 2021 to get support on capacity building of BDSP developed under NRETP. The following is a brief of the training given to BDSPs by Kudumbashree NRO, which was shared with ASRLM before the commencement of the training. Around 150 BDSPs were trained on the business management & administration from across five districts namely Dhemaji, Tinsukia,Udalguri, Nagaon and Hailakand

Kudumbashree NRO and BRLPS has entered into a contract for the capacity building of BDSPs. The contract was of 1 year and as agreed on the contract 12 batches of BDSP training was successfully completed in December 2022. Before initiating the BDSP training, Kudumbashree NRO has conducted state level workshop to orient the BRLPS staff on the NRETP and BDSP Training curricular and methodology. BDSP Foundation Modules and Growth Module has been submitted to BRLPS in soft and hard copy.

RGAVP has signed an MoU with Kudumbashree NRO to provide capacity building training to various stakeholders associated with OSF namely the BDSPs and OSF-MC. Accordingly, Kudumbashree NRO will be supporting RGAVP in training 5 batches of BDSPs.
