Arindom Bora

Project Lead

Arindom holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Cotton University, Guwahati. With over three years of hands-on experience as a development practitioner, Arindom has worked extensively with Kudumbashree National Resource Organization (NRO) in various capacities, starting as a Field Coordinator and later as a State Project Coordinator, across Northeastern states such as Manipur and Meghalaya.

His field experience includes the design and implementation of community-based interventions aimed at enhancing service delivery through departmental convergence, particularly in collaboration with local governments in Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) Act areas, 6th Schedule regions, and State Act areas. A key focus of this work has been policy development and effective project execution at the grassroots level.

Currently based at the Kudumbashree NRO head office as Project Lead, Arindom is responsible for designing and managing capacity-building programs for State-level and National level teams, including professionals and community mentors. Additionally, he provides strategic support and coordination for projects in various states.

Arindom’s professional interests and work areas include rural development, tribal livelihoods, and community-based capacity-building initiatives, with a strong focus on the unique socio-cultural context of India’s Northeastern region.
